MIMO UWB Channel Sounder System with more than 100,000 measurements per second
The SH-42xx device family uses our innovative m-Sequence pseudo-noise design and provides an extremely high measurement rate – more than 100,000 measurements per second are possible. Developed for channel sounder measurements up to MIMO 5G, this system is suitable for many other applications that require high-speed MIMO UWB measurements.
The compact SH-4240 HS (m:mimo.hs) includes 1 UWB baseband transmitter and 2 UWB baseband receivers working in parallel. It optionally comes with a solid-state mass storage drive to capture measured data in real-time, e.g. more than 100,000 measurements per second. Thanks to our proven m:Sequence technology, it features excellent signal and timebase stability. The SH-4240 HSIQ (m:mimo.hsiq) version features an additional frequency conversion frontend for extended UWB bands with 1 ext. UWB transmitter and parallel high-speed I/Q reception (1 complex ext. UWB receiver built with both baseband receive channels).
The SH-4200M (m:mimo.base) works as a master and sync unit for m:mimo sensor networks and is needed if you intend on using more than one SH-4240 for your application. Therefore, the SH-4200M contains a master synchronisation unit with our innovative m-Sequence pseudo-noise design. It provides the RF master clock, DC power supply and digital measurement synchronisation for up to 8 distributed sensor nodes (type m:mimo.hs or m:mimo.hsiq) The m:mimo.base distributes the RF base clock and an UWB reference baseband signal for up to 8 m:mimo.hs/m:mimo.hsiq sensor nodes. It allows complete and stable RF synchronisation in a distributed MIMO network. In addition, it contains DC power supplies, a digital synchronisation interface and a LAN switch for up to 8 nodes. The PC for sensor network setup and control only needs to connect to the base unit and receives averaged non-real-time data from each node to allow the operator to check for correct functioning of the setup.
The modular concept with its flexible components allows for simple adjustment for your research and industry needs.
